Group Overview


This group provides case consultation, personal work (working on our own negative thoughts and feelings), didactic presentations and training in providing TEAM CBT consultation to others. Participation in this group fulfills one of the main requirements for becoming certified as a Level 4 TEAM therapist and trainer (Level 4, Item 1.a). 

This group’s mission is to train Level 3 TEAM therapists to become consultants for other therapists in TEAM CBT, by providing participants with training in both high level TEAM therapy and TEAM therapy supervision skills. Participation in this group fulfills one of the main requirements for becoming certified as a Level 4 TEAM therapist and trainer. 

Daniel Mintie, LCSW and Matt May, M.D., both Masters in TEAM-CBT, co-lead this group.

Trainees must register for a minimum of three months (12 weeks) $720 ($240 per 4 weeks paid in advance).

Discounts available for six month (24 week) commitments $1320 ($220 per 4 weeks paid in advance).

Instructor Biographies

Mr Mintie has 27 years experience treating patients locally in North America and globally over the worldwide web.  He specializes in the high-speed treatment of anxiety, depression and trauma and teaches CBT at universities and training centers worldwide.  His new book "Wholehearted: Reclaiming Life After Trauma" will be published in 2018 by Inner Traditions publishing.  More information can be found at www.danielmintie.com

Dr. May is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Member in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  He served as an instructor for Stanford's Core Psychotherapy Sequence from 2006 - 2009.  He supervises residents, local practitioners and graduate students, both individually and in weekly seminars at Stanford.  From 2005 - 2009, he was the primary instructor for the Stanford-Pacific Graduate School of Psychology Consortium/Palo Alto University course: "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy".  He has lectured, as a course instructor, at the American Psychiatric Association conference on the Medical Uses of Hypnosis.

Dr. May received his medical training at the Stanford School of Medicine and completed specialty training in Psychiatry at Stanford's Department of Psychiatry.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Haverford College, with dual degrees in Chemistry (with honors) and Biology (with high honors).  He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  He has received several awards for research in chemistry and biochemistry.  He now focuses on practicing, teaching, and supervising psychotherapy.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refunds are available for cancelations outside of a 14-day window prior to the beginning of a training event or course. All refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee. Within a 14-day window prior to the beginning of a training event or course, no refunds are available. For cancelations within this window, credit may be applied towards a future similar training within a year of the original purchase date.
